Also, on rereading this comic, it seems I said "call waiting" when I meant "call display" or "*69" if you know about that. Incoming call display. You know?
My excuse is that they call it something different where they are. Okay.

Rabid: RARR! The HUNGER!! It CONSUMES ME!!
Rabid: RARR!!
Rabid: Wait! There is available food in my kitchen -- if I can only reach it in time!!

Rabid: Oh no! What if this is an important call and my voice-mail-box is full and call waiting doesn't work and it's too urgent for them to call back?
<<Ring ring>>
Rabid: But -- the HUNGER!!
Rabid: THERE IS ONLY ONE SOLUTION AVAILABLE TO ME

Rabish: Rabid I called you hours ago and it was important and your voice-mail-box was full and it was an outgoing-calls-only payphone so call waiting wouldn't work and then since it was an emergency I started here but it took a long time!!
Rabish: I let myself in.
Rabid: Oh -- what did you want to tell me?
Rabish: All your food has gone poisonously bad, so don't eat it!
